Privacy & Safety

Reachableon your terms.

This page explains in plain language what others see, how you control conversations and what ChatPlate is not. The legal details are in the Privacy Policy.

What the other person sees

A conversation shows enough to solve the situation and nothing more.

Shown in a conversation

  • Your profile name
  • The license plate the chat is about
  • The messages, photos and voice notes you send
  • Message date and time

Not shown by ChatPlate

  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your password
  • Payment details (handled by your app store)

Control

You decide how a conversation goes.

Reply — or don’t

A message is a request, not an obligation. You choose whether and how to reply.

Block

Blocked users can no longer message you.

Report

Report harassment, spam, threats or other abuse from inside the app or by writing to support. Reports are reviewed by the ChatPlate team.

Share only what helps

Keep messages about the vehicle. Don’t share addresses, personal details or photos of people.

Calls are your choice

An incoming audio or video call can be declined. If someone calls repeatedly or misuses calls, block and report them.

ChatPlate is not an emergency service.

If someone is in danger, a vehicle is on fire, or there’s an accident, call your local emergency number. A ChatPlate message can go unread.

ChatPlate is also not

  • A way to find out who owns a vehicle, where they live or where they are.
  • A replacement for police, towing, insurance or official parking procedures.
  • A way to contact drivers who haven’t registered their plate.

The legal documents

This page is a summary. The Privacy Policy, Terms and Child Safety Standards are the binding documents.
