Register your license plate
Add the plate of the vehicle you drive, exactly as it appears on the vehicle. This is the plate other people will search to reach you.
- Double-check letters and numbers before saving.
- If the app asks you to complete a verification step, follow it in the app.

When things don’t go to plan
What happens if…
ChatPlate helps when both people use it. These are the cases where it can’t, or where you should do something else.
…the plate isn’t found?
The plate is not registered in ChatPlate, so nobody can receive a message. Check for typos. If the situation is urgent, contact building management, the car park operator or local authorities.
…the driver doesn’t reply?
They may not have seen the notification yet, or may choose not to reply. ChatPlate can’t force an answer. Don’t send repeated messages; use other channels if you need to.
…my plate was registered by someone else?
Contact support from the email address of your account and include the plate and what happened. How disputes are resolved is decided by the ChatPlate team.
…I registered the wrong plate?
Correct it as soon as possible, otherwise messages meant for you won’t reach you and someone else’s may. If you can’t change it in the app, contact support.
…someone is abusive?
Block the user so they can no longer message you, and report the message. Repeated violations can lead to suspension under the Terms.
…it’s an emergency?
Call your local emergency number. ChatPlate is not an emergency service and can’t guarantee a fast reply.
Be reachable the next time it matters.
Available on iPhone and Android. Install it, register your plate, and the people around your car can reach you.
